(non specificato) Il Forrer (1902-30, IV, p. 285) riporta: The Frankfort Mint secured his services from about 1857, and we meet with his signature on the currency of that city until 1866, Double Thalers, i860, 1861, 1862, 1866 ;- Vereins-Thalers, 1857-1862, 1864-1865, &c. It is generally believed that the actress Janauschek served as prototype for the figure of Francofordia on these coins (bust on Double Thalers and Thalers; full standing figure (as Germania) on the Gedenkthaler of 1862). These Double Thalers and Thalers are said to have realized high prices in America, when first issued, as "Rothschild Love Dollars", the public being led to believe that a favourite of one of the Rothschilds was portrayed on them; – Gedenkthaler, 1863 (FÜRSTENTAG ZU FRANKFURT &C.), &C.
