Il Forrer (1902-30, VI, pp. 65-66) riporta: Very little is known about this Engraver, who is said to have been a clever artist, and assisted his father at the Augsburg Mint. It is impossible to ascribe to him any dies with his distinct signature. M. Wavre has suggested that the monogram T, which first occurs on coins of Augsburg in 1747, may indicate his work. Nineteen pieces, with the addition of three obverses and one reverse are thus signed, according to the above-named authority, but in the absence of further proofs it is a question very much open to discussion.
