Il Forrer (1902-30, VI, p. 567) riporta: 12. June 1778 on Wiedemann being pensioned off, appointed Chief-engraver and Medallist, and on 24. July following obtained the title of Court Medallist (Kammer-medailkur); 21. October 1782 undertook a journey to Mayence to cut coin-dies for the Elector; 6. November 1785 granted leave to visit Italy; 10. September 1790 requested to accompany Ignaz Donner and Josef Vinazer to Frankfort to prepare the dies of the Coronation medals; 29, January 1793 presented with 100 Ducats for the engraving of the "Universitätsdignität" Medals; 24. January 1812 the Vienna Mint purchases from Wiirth's executors various dies, etc.
