Il Forrer (1902-30, VII, p. 246) riporta: Die-sinker of the middle years of the nineteenth century. The initials E.D. occur on a Thaler of Alexander, of Brandenburg- Ansbach, 1779 (Schulthess-Rechberg, 6236). The signature occurs also on the R/. of a commemorative-medal on the Inauguration of the Vienna-Raab Railway, the obv. of which is by Scharff, 1841; – and on the R/. of a medal of Baron Dr Josef Franz von Jacquin (obv. by Fr. Lang), etc.
